Conference Round-up: St Francis did away with Hannibal-LaGrange, though it was not a work of art.
Nonconference Record: 4-3
Good Wins: Belleville shredded Culver-Stockton and, look out, the Lynx are 2-0. Could they be on to something? St Ambrose is, not as surprising, also 2-0 (against two strong adversaries). Robert Morris scored with minutes left to defeat Friends.
Bad Wins: McKendree should have had an easier time with Pikeville, yet were tied heading into the 4th quarter.
Good Losses: Nada
Bad Losses: Grand View’s missed PAT in the 1st quarter came back to haunt them; Southern Oregon scored with approx one minute to play and eked out the victory. William Penn played poorly (again), missing all three of their PATs. Ouch.

Good Wins: Tabor made quick work of Whitman, and are now 2-0.
Bad Wins: Nope
Good Losses: There were many to choose from, though only one that could be called ‘good’. St Mary missed two 2-point conversions – both in the 3rd quarter, leaving them with a 36-35 lead into the 4th.
Bad Losses: Bethany held a 24-17 lead on Doane late in the game, was still up 24-23 very late, surrendered another scored and succumbed. Southwestern College gave up 24 straight points to close out their loss, and Friends yielded the decisive TD with a few minutes to play. There are quite a few squads in the Prairie who have work to do.

Nonconference Record: 6-3, now 14-4 through two weeks.
Good Wins: The win that stands out is River Falls, who were thoroughly in command vs Black Hills St.
Bad Wins: There were a few. Eau Claire and Platteville were flat, while Stevens Point went up big and then flattened out.
Good Losses: Stout appeared out of it against a good John Carroll team, then scored 17 straight to throw a scare into the Blue Streaks. Green Bay nearly pulled off the upset vs Mayville St.
Bad Losses: Superior lost in an ugly FG fest.

Nonconference Record: 5-5
Good Wins: None that stood out, though Dallas did procure their first program win in an exciting game. So yeah, Dallas.
Bad Wins: Trinity grabbed a 17-0 halftime lead, but needed a late tie-breaking score for the win. TexLu also needed a late score for the win. These two teams were favored by an average of two TDs.
Good Losses: None
Bad Losses: At one stage of the 1st half, McMurry led Simpson 21-6. You can do the math.

Conference Round-up: MidAmerica Nazarene handled Avila with aplomb. That’s right, aplomb.
Nonconference Record: 3-6
Good Wins: Tarkio destroyed Briar Cliff, leading 34-0 late in the game.
Bad Wins: MoVal won by a wide margin, but weren’t sharp, relying on five FGs.
Good Losses: St Mary, as a three TD underdog, led Carthage 31-28 late in the game.
Bad Losses: Culver-Stockton was rolled, Graceland trailed 0-28 into the 4th quarter, but Lindenwood was the most perplexing. The Lions were down 13-31 in the 4th quarter, rallied, recovered an onside kick, yet came up short. The Lions are struggling at 0-2.

Conference Round-up: Minot handled Dakota Wesleyan pretty much as expected.
Nonconference Record: 3-5
Good Wins: The Marauders' win over Oregon Tech was…umm, conclusive.
Bad Wins: The wins by Mayville and SD Tech were far from ideal, though it should be pointed out that the Comets are alone at 2-0 in the NPAC. Strange days indeed.
Good Losses: None
Bad Losses: Black Hills, in their season opener, was down 14-38 through three quarters against River Falls. This one wasn’t as close as the final score would suggest.

Conference Round-up: For the second week in a row, Incarnate Word allowed a lesser foe to hang around. The Cardinals were down 14-31 late 3rd quarter, scored 17 straight, forced overtime and prevailed in 2OT. A loss would have been embarrassing. OK Baptist, meanwhile, dispensed with the drama, throttling Texas College.
Nonconference Record: 1-6, for a dreadful two-week mark of 3-15. Yowza.
Good Wins: Seriously?
Bad Wins: Nah
Good Losses: Bacone nearly pulled the upset vs TX Lutheran, leading 34-30 in the 4th quarter. Haskell kept things reasonably close.
Bad Losses: Not bad necessarily, because Georgetown is an imposing foe, but Harding went back & forth with the Tigers all afternoon, were down 34-41 very late, scored…and missed the PAT. Groan.

Conference Round-up: Hobart handled Utica easily.
Nonconference Record: 5-3
Good Wins: Lots of ‘em. Hartwick rolled, Fisher had a dominant 3rd quarter, St Lawrence pulled an upset and Alfred won a dramatic triple-overtime thriller after tying the game in regulation with mere minutes to play.
Bad Wins: None
Good Losses: Nada
Bad Losses: Nope

Conference Round-up: Montana Western dispatched Northern Idaho with ease.
Nonconference Record: 8-1, for an astounding 16-3 mark through two weeks. It is not an exaggeration to say that the Pac-Sun is officially….en fuego.
Good Wins: Lots of wins à lots of good wins. Southern Oregon scored with less than a minute to play to take a high-profile match-up vs Grand View, while Eastern Oregon scored with no time on the clock. Rocky Mountain prevailed in a seesaw battle, and Montana Tech won in OT.
Bad Wins: Only Northern Montana’s win was unimpressive. The Northern Lights were favored by nearly five touchdowns vs Haskell.
Good Losses: None
Bad Losses: There was only one loss total in Pac-Sun Week 2, but it was kinda ugly. Oregon Tech got pummeled by Mary.

Good Wins: There were only two wins in the Northern Lakes, yet both were impressive. Northwestern College was up 24-0 in the 3rd quarter, and Augsburg scored the winning TD with a minute to play.
Bad Wins: None
Good Losses: Carleton’s loss was the only one of the lot that could be considered good. The Knights were downright buried at 0-42, and came back to make a competitive game of it.
Bad Losses: The Tommies were out-toughed by Baldwin-Wallace, and are 0-2. St Olaf and Gustavus fell behind by multiple scores and could not close the gaps. Concordia lost a heartbreaker in OT, after scoring twice in the 4th quarter to force overtime.

Nonconference Record: 5-6
Good Wins: Campbellsville and Bethel had nice wins, pulling away steadily. Georgetown had the drama. The Tigers twice trailed by 14 points, came back for a 28-27 lead, lost it, regained it, were up 41-34 late, gave up a score nearly at the end of regulation, then rejoiced as Harding missed the PAT!
Bad Wins: None
Good Losses: Pikeville was tied with McKendree deep into the game, and Milligan was within 2 late in their game vs South Dakota Tech.
Bad Losses: Cumberlands, as a signature program in the TVAC, came out flat…and got flattened by St Ambrose.

Nonconference Record: 3-6, now 6-13 through two weeks…
Good Wins: Dubuque couldn’t hold leads, but scored late to beat Sul Ross, and is now leading the conference. Simpson had the opposite issue, falling behind 6-21, then turning on the afterburners in the 2nd half.
Bad Wins: None
Good Losses: None
Bad Losses: Coe didn’t score a touchdown until late in the 3rd quarter. Luther yielded the decisive touchdown with a minute to play.

Nonconference Record: 6-3
Good Wins: There were some nice performances in Week 2. The most high profile is B-W putting the hammer down against St Thomas after trailing 7-17. ONU opened with an impressive victory, while Capital dominated St Olaf until late in the game.
Bad Wins: There were some of these, as well. J Carroll went up by 20 at the half, then fell asleep. Wilmington and Marietta opened their seasons against the new programs from the MSFA…and struggled.
Good Losses: Heidelberg is 0-2, but there are good results on the horizon. They scored the final 17 points of regulation to force overtime, as a two TD underdog.
Bad Losses: Otterbein is also 0-2 after coming up empty on their final drive vs St Lawrence, as a one TD favorite.

Good Losses: Elmhurst was down 0-17 at the half, rallied to tie it at 23-23, nearly pulled the upset.
Bad Losses: North Central gave up a tying TD+2 late, then went down in triple OT.

Bad Wins: Despite the bloated score, Morningside had trouble finishing drives. The Mustangs settled for four FGs, yet also managed to miss three PATs…. Peru St scored the final 27 points of the game to avoid what would have been a shocking loss.
Good Losses: Despite the final score, Dordt actually played well, and could be building something solid.
